Therapeutic Approaches

01.

Traditional Style

My traditional therapeutic style contains bits of solution-focused theory so you can feel empowered, narrative theory because the stories we tell ourselves are what shape our realities. I also provide alternative holistic approaches that strengthen the mind, the body, and the soul. The approaches include sound healing, energy work and guided meditations. These mindfulness activities help to center you and connect with your body.

02.

Sound Healing

Everything has a frequency to it and frequency creates energy. Sound healing is used to bring the mind, body and spirit back to a balanced state by using soothing sounds. Have you ever listened to a cat purr and instantly felt love and calmness? That is sound healing at its simplest and finest. Sound healing can regulate your mood, help with sleep and can create a relaxing environment for meditation. Tibetan Singing Bowls are known for their healing purposes and that is the tool I use. When I play the Bowls, clients can experience relaxation, calmness, presence of the current moment and connection with the universe.

03.

Guided Meditation

There are various forms of meditation and they all have a different purpose. Guided meditations are useful for creative visualization and for connecting with higher supports to assist when life is challenging. Creative visualizations are useful in any part of our life. Want a better job/career? Or a romantic relationship? How about a deeper connection with who you are and what your purpose is in life? Guided meditations use the imagination to build, in our mind’s eye, what we want to create in life and allow for affirmations and intentions to absorb into our being.

04.

Energy work

When a person experiences a traumatic event, it’s typical to use distraction rather than feeling the suffering that the current moment brings. Our goal is to survive. Usually we think of physical safety: look right and left before you cross the street, don’t drink and drive etc. But what about emotional safety? When it comes to feeling emotionally unsafe, we distract with work, money, substances, sexual relationships etc. Energy work can get to the core and remove blockages that impact healing. There are energy points and centers, in the body, that are called Meridians and Chakras.
